My Story
I grew up in London Ontario and have a BFA double major in Visual Arts and History of Art form the University of Victoria, where I specialized in the studio practices of painting and analogue photography. I now call Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada my home.
The majority of my art practice now centers around painting landscapes. I am interested in the patterns displayed in nature. I take pleasure in depicting various forms that surround me and portraying how they confront me. I am continually seeking out new patterns and forming new relationships with new landscapes in various locations in Canada. Particularly these days however my work draws from the landscapes of the Yukon, Alaska and Northern BC.
I also enjoy experimenting with colours and different styles although I tend to gravitate towards expressionist landscapes. My work also sometimes delves into the fantastical and mystical.
